Counter-question: is there any reason to be ashamed for liking Dungeons&Dragons? Do you know that there are WAY more than 6.3 million D&D players?

There’s nothing wrong with liking D&D, and I don’t think Cogman was implying there is. The NY Times reviewer is the one who dissed D&D. Actually both of their reviewers did.

I assume there are millions that play D&D, though I doubt all of them watch GoT. :)
